TIPO's "Program of Accelerating Examination of Invention Patent Application" will come into effect on Jan. 1 2010.

Summary:

CASE 1:
notice of allowance made by a substantive examination in a foreign patent office related to the TW application

2. attached with an application of accelerating examination
3. attached with Chinese translation of the notice and allowed claims
4. attached with foreign search report, Chinese brief is required
5. difference between the claims in TW application and the allowed claims in the notice
6. non-patent document in the search report (regarding novelty and inventive step) needs to be attached

CASE 2:
examination opinion and search report made by USPTO, JPO, EPO patent office for the pending application

1. application
2. claims (Chinses translation) corresponding to the examination or search report
3. Chinese brief of the opinion and search report, if made by non-Chinese/English
4. difference between the claims and the claims in TW application
5. provided with an argument made by applicant regarding to the citations made by foreign office
6. non-patent document in the search report (regarding novelty and inventive step) needs to be attached
